Cadiz, Spain

Cadiz is an ancient port city in southwest Spain situated on a narrow peninsula surrounded by the sea. Founded as Gadir by Phoenicians from Tyre more than 3,000 years ago, it’s the oldest continuously inhabited city in Western Europe. Today it’s a typical Andalusian city full of picturesque vistas, winding alleys connecting charming plazas, and well-preserved historical landmarks. A former 16th-century centre for trade and exploration, it has over 100 watchtowers, including the iconic Torre Tavira, traditionally used for spotting ships. Love-struck visitors speak fondly of Cadiz’ seafood, beaches and collection of fascinating monuments and museums.

A Beautiful Setting

Highlights of what you’ll experience on your 13-day trip to Spain

Seville is the capital and largest city in southern Spain’s Andalucía region. Situated on the river Guadalquivir, it’s known for its Flamenco culture, the ornate Alcázar palace built by the Moorish Almohads in the 14th century, as well as the Seville Cathedral—the largest cathedral in the world and third largest church. The cathedral is also the site of Christopher Columbus’s tomb and a famous minaret turned bell tower, the Giralda.

Tangier, Morocco

Tangier is a major city in northern Morocco located only 14km south of Spain, across the Strait of Gibraltar where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. It has a very rich history due to the historical presence of many civilizations and cultures since before the 5th century BCE. Tangier is split into an old walled city, or medina, with its medieval alleyways, the Kasbah and walled fortress, and a new modern city, the ville nouvelle.

Cordoba is a beautiful historical city located in the interior of the Andalusia region. It was an important Roman city in ancient times, and an Islamic cultural center during the Middle Ages. The city is known for its enormous Mosque-Cathedral known as La Mesquita, originally built in the 7th century CE. The old quarter contains a beautiful network of alleyways, squares and white-washed courtyards surrounding the Great Mosque.
